RDL D-PSP1A Format-A Decora-Style Active Loudspeaker, 2 W Class D
The RDL D-PSP1A is the Format-A version of RDL's Decora-style active loudspeaker, carrying its driver, 2 watt Class D amplifier, and level control in one wall-plate insert. Instead of a terminal block, it takes both audio and 24 Vdc power over a single rear-panel RJ45 jack using RDL's Format-A wiring, which greatly simplifies install cabling: one twisted-pair run does the whole job. A switch on the rear selects which Format-A signal pair (A, B, or C) the speaker listens to, so several speakers can share one cable run and still play different feeds.
Amplification is a high-efficiency Class D stage tuned for clear voice and music, and an analog compressor/limiter holds back peaks so the speaker sustains a higher average level without clipping. This model uses a user-accessible front-panel volume control. Frequency range is 150 Hz to 20 kHz nominal with a maximum SPL of 81 dB, and common-mode rejection exceeds 80 dB in the hum band. It ships in white, with black, gray, and stainless-steel finishes available.
