PROTON S-Mount Lenses for PROTON Miniature Cameras
PROTON miniature cameras take S-mount glass, and the focal you pick is the shot. This range runs from 2.2 mm at 124 degrees, wide enough to swallow a whole goal mouth from the post, through the 3 to 4 mm middle that most rigged POV positions use, out to 7.8 mm at 52 degrees and 12 mm at 35 degrees when the camera is set back and needs to hold a tight frame. Maximum apertures run from F/1.7 on the 6 mm to F/2.8 on the 2.7, 3.9 and 4 mm. Every lens in the range is 4K ready, so the same optic works on a CAM and on a 4K body.
The standard lenses fit the CAM, FLEX, 4K, 4K 3D, 4K FLEX and 4K CS bodies. The five RAIN versions are optically identical to their standard counterparts but are mechanically built with the sealing and hardware that keeps the RAIN camera at IP67, so an outdoor RAIN position must use a RAIN lens. Fitting is a screw-in with the camera powered and a monitor connected: three threads in is enough to secure it, and you then screw or unscrew to set back focus. Each lens has its own shading profile, loaded as a preset in PROTON Control or corrected from a Cyanview RCP.
