PreSonus Tube Microphone and Instrument Preamplifier
Both preamps use the same two-stage signal path: a PreSonus XMAX Class A solid-state preamp followed by a hand-selected and tested 12AX7 vacuum tube stage. With the drive control backed off you get the clean, quiet solid-state amplifier; wind it up and the signal runs through the tube for anything from a touch of warmth to obvious crunch. Both work equally well as a preamp or as a DI for guitar and bass.
TubePre V2 is the single-channel version, with a dual-servo capacitorless gain stage that pushes level hard without a matching rise in noise, plus separate unbalanced 1/4-inch instrument and balanced XLR mic inputs and both output types. BlueTube DP V2 doubles it: two independent channels with combo mic/instrument inputs, a -20 dB pad for hot sources, an 80 Hz high-pass filter, phantom power, polarity reverse, and a backlit VU meter. A singer with a guitar can put voice on one channel and instrument on the other straight into the PA. Both fit a gig bag or screw-mount to a half-rack tray.
