Rode K2 Multi-patternValve Condenser Microphone
The RODE K2 is a large-diaphragm valve condenser built around a dual one-inch gold-sputtered capsule and a hand-selected 6922 twin-triode vacuum tube. The tube stage lends vocals and acoustic sources a warm, saturated character, while the class-A circuitry keeps the signal clean and detailed. Its standout feature is a continuously variable polar pattern control that sweeps from omnidirectional through cardioid to figure-8, so you can shape room pickup and stereo technique without changing microphones.
The pattern is set from a dedicated power supply rather than the mic body, giving remote, click-free control at the desk. With very low self-noise the K2 sits comfortably on lead vocals, guitar, brass and drum overheads. It ships with the SM6 suspension shock mount, the RM2 mic clip and a matched external power supply.
