Pliant Technologies Tempest Headset PHS-SB200-5M

The PHS-SB200-5M is the dual-ear SmartBoom PRO from Pliant, a full circumaural communications headset for operators who need both ears on the intercom in a loud room. Its dynamic noise-cancelling cardioid microphone is voiced for speech and rejects sound from the sides, and the two closed-back earcups seal out stage, crowd, and equipment noise. The SmartBoom boom arm doubles as the mute: flip it up to cut the mic, drop it to go live.

This version terminates in a 5-pin XLR male connector for two-way intercom beltpacks that use that pinout. The removable 5 ft cable swaps out in the field, the ambidextrous boom swings to either side, and the ear pad, headband pad, and windscreen are all replaceable. The rubberized matte-black finish stays non-reflective on camera. It ships with the removable 5-pin XLR male cable.
