Panasonic AV-UHS500 4K Live Production Switcher
The AV-UHS500 is a compact, modular live production switcher for 4K and HD workflows. Standard I/O covers eight 12G/3G-SDI inputs and two HDMI inputs against five SDI and two HDMI outputs, and optional expansion units scale the frame up to 16 inputs and 15 outputs when a production needs more sources. Every input runs through a frame synchronizer, so mixed cameras and feeds lock together without external sync gear, and built-in up/down conversion plus HDR/SDR and BT.2020/BT.709 conversion let 4K and legacy HD sources share one show.
Five keyers, including two channels of chroma key and two of picture-in-picture, cover graphics and virtual sets, and four AUX buses feed monitors or streaming encoders independently of program output. The built-in control surface includes a joystick and a 7-inch touchscreen for direct access to transitions, wipes, and menus without a separate control panel. PTZ camera control reaches 8 cameras standard (16 with an optional unit), covering pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris, and preset recall, and two independent MultiViewer outputs display up to 16 sources in a single screen for the technical director.
