OM System PRF-D40.5 PRO 40.5mm Protection Filter
The 40.5mm thread turns up on the compact end of the M.Zuiko range, where a thick filter ring would start to vignette. The PRF-D40.5 is built thin for that reason, and multi-coated on both faces so the two extra surfaces do not soften contrast on a lens chosen for being small and sharp.
It fits the M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 among other 40.5mm lenses, and does the ordinary job well: dust, fingerprints and grit land on glass you can replace for the price of a memory card.
