The 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25X IS PRO carries a 95mm front element behind a hood the size of a small bucket, and the LH-115 is that hood. On a 1000mm equivalent lens the shading job is not cosmetic: at that focal length a low sun outside the frame will veil the entire image.

It is also the part that protects an extremely expensive front group when the lens is being moved on a monopod through a crowded press position. This is the manufacturer's replacement part number for a hood lost or damaged in the field.
