Launch Control XL MK2 carries 24 customisable knobs with multicoloured LEDs, eight rugged 60mm faders, and 16 multi-colour buttons for track focus and mixer control, built primarily around Ableton Live (Live Lite included). Mackie HUI protocol support extends the same layout to Cubase, Logic Pro, and Pro Tools mixers without a second controller.

It is the prior generation to Launch Control XL 3, without that model's OLED display or native multi-DAW templates, and remains a straightforward hands-on mixer surface for an Ableton-centric setup.
