Marshall Electronics CS-3816-8MP-V2 CS-Mount Varifocal Lens
The CS-3816-8MP-V2 is an 8-megapixel varifocal lens built for Marshall's 4K and UHD interchangeable-lens compact cameras, such as the CV374. Its 3.8 to 16mm focal range covers a wide establishing shot through to a tighter framing without swapping glass, resolving to the full 8MP the newer camera bodies capture. The V2 designation marks the current hardware revision of Marshall's long-running CS-mount varifocal.
Zoom and focus are set by hand and held with lock screws, and a DC auto-iris connector lets the camera drive exposure automatically. The rear element is IR corrected so infrared light does not soften the picture, and the lens threads onto a standard CS mount (C-mount cameras adapt with a spacer). On a CV402-class body the 3.8 to 16mm range gives roughly a 112 to 30 degree horizontal angle of view.
