Lewitt LCT 140 AIR Small-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The LCT 140 AIR is a 24 mm diameter cardioid pencil condenser built for the jobs small-diaphragm mics do best: drum overheads, acoustic guitar, piano, hi-hat, and orchestral spot miking. A switch on the body chooses between AIR, which adds a lift in the top end for presence, and FLAT, which holds a linear response for neutral capture, so one microphone covers both a bright pop overhead and an accurate classical spot.
It handles 135 dBSPL at 0.5% THD, so cymbals and snare are within range, and the body weighs only 66 g, which keeps overhead stands from drifting. Output is a gold-plated 3-pin XLR at 173 ohm. The single ships with a foam windscreen, microphone clip, and transport bag; the matched pair adds a second factory-matched microphone for stereo work.
