Kramer KC-Virtual Brain1 Control Platform with 1 Instance of BRAINware
The KC-Virtual Brain1 is a small Linux appliance that ships with one instance of Kramer BRAINware already installed. BRAINware is the software form of Kramer's control Brain, so the room's logic runs on this box over Ethernet instead of on a dedicated controller wired between the touch panel and the gear. One instance covers one standard space, meaning something on the order of a scaler, a display, a lighting system, a touch panel, and a keypad.
It is configured through Kramer Control's drag-and-drop Builder rather than by writing code, and it reaches devices over the network, with the FC family of format converters handling anything that only speaks serial, IR, or relay. The unit measures roughly 7cm square, carries HDMI in and out, gigabit LAN plus dual-band Wi-Fi, and three USB ports, and runs on 12V DC drawing 1.7A. A power adapter, video switching control cable, and VESA mount are included, so it can hide behind the display it controls.
