IDX A-HS30B B-Mount to B-Mount Hot-Swap Plate

A B-Mount battery change normally means powering the camera down, and on a long take or a live feed that is not an option. The A-HS30B sits between the camera's B-Mount and the battery: it takes a B-Mount pack on its own 5-pin electrode plate and passes power through, and when you pull that pack it keeps the camera alive by regulating 28V from the second source. That is what makes an ARRI ALEXA 35 - which runs at 28.8V - swappable mid-record.

It also works as an accessory power hub, which is where the extra ports earn their space on the back of a camera: two D-Taps at 14V and 5A (70W each), a USB-A port at 5V/2A for a monitor or a receiver, and a 2-pin DC female output at 14V/5A. Input accepts 22V to 33.6V through an 8-pin DC connector on the B-Mount charging port. The plate weighs 1.41 lb.
