Glyph Blackbox Plus Mobile SSD

The BlackBox Plus is Glyph's pocket SSD for people who work away from the edit bay: 1TB of solid-state storage reading and writing at up to 450 MB/s, with no moving parts to worry about in a camera bag. It is bus-powered over a single USB 3.1 Type-C cable, so there is no wall wart to pack and nothing to plug in on location beyond the laptop itself. A rubber over-molded housing wraps the enclosure and takes the knocks that a bare drive would not survive.

The Type-C port is compatible with USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 3, and Glyph ships both cables you need: Type-C to Type-C for current machines and Type-C to USB 3.0/2.0 Type-A for older ports. The drive arrives formatted for macOS and reformats for Windows in a few minutes; it runs on macOS 10.4 or later and Windows Vista or later. Coverage is a 3-year limited hardware warranty with 1-year advanced replacement.
