Glyph StudioRAID 16TB Pairs Two 8TB 7,200 Rpm Drives

The StudioRAID pairs two 8TB 7,200 rpm drives in an aluminum two-bay enclosure and runs them as a hardware RAID, with no software to install and nothing to keep alive in the menu bar. Striped as RAID 0 the array reaches up to 360 MB/s, enough to run video layers and large sample libraries off one volume; mirrored as RAID 1 it gives you 8TB of usable space with every file written twice. JBOD and SPAN are supported as well. A temperature-controlled fan keeps the drives in range without running any louder than it has to.

Like the rest of the Studio line it is a triple-interface drive: one micro-USB 3.0 port, two FireWire 800 ports, and one eSATA port, so it mounts on current machines and on the older FireWire rig that has not been retired yet. Power is an internal universal 100-240V supply with a standard IEC connector. The drive ships formatted for macOS and reformats for Windows in a few minutes, and the box includes the micro-USB 3.0 cable, a FireWire 800 cable, and the power cable. Chassis measures 6.5 x 8.6 x 2.7 inches.
