Earthworks SR25 Gen 2 Cymbal and Overhead Microphone

The SR25 Gen 2 moves to a supercardioid pattern from the original SR25's cardioid, for tighter directionality and better isolation on cymbal and hi-hat overheads in a crowded mix. Enhanced electronics cut phantom power draw and add protection against accidental hot-swapping.

It is smaller and lighter than the original, which makes it easier to hide over a kit, and it keeps the extended 20 Hz to 25 kHz response that gives Earthworks overheads their air. Runs on standard 48 V phantom power.
