Electro-Voice EVID-S4.2T 70V Surface-Mount Loudspeaker

The EVID-S4.2T is the transformer-tapped version of EV's 4 inch two-way surface speaker, built for background and paging runs where a single amplifier feeds a long chain of ceiling and wall boxes at constant voltage. A 15 W transformer offers 3.7, 7.5, or 15 W taps at 70V or 100V, and a rear switch bypasses the transformer for standard 8 ohm operation on a shorter, dedicated run.

The cabinet is a fire-rated ABS enclosure rated IP54 for damp locations, and the included bracket rotates 90 degrees horizontally and 45 degrees vertically so the same box works on a wall or angled down from a ceiling edge. It ships in black or white and can be field-painted to match a room.
