ESE DV-207 1x4 3G/HD/SD-SDI Reclocking Distribution Amplifier
The DV-207 takes one 3G, HD or SD-SDI input and reclocks it out to four BNC outputs plus a non-reclocked loop, sensing 270 Mb/s, 1.5 Gb/s or 3 Gb/s automatically so there is nothing to set for the format in hand. Reclocking and equalization restore a signal that has already traveled some distance, which is what lets each output drive a long run of its own rather than just repeating whatever jitter arrived at the input.
Standard 1694A coax reach is 400 m at 270 Mb/s, 200 m at 1.5 Gb/s and 140 m at 3 Gb/s, and the unit is DVB-ASI compliant at 270 Mb/s for facilities still running ASI. An internal bypass switch takes reclocking out of the path when a signal needs to pass through unmodified, and the compact diecast housing runs straight off line voltage with no external power brick to lose.
