The dry-erase area of a timecode slate takes sharpie, tape adhesive and whatever the last unit did to it. These protectors take that damage instead of the slate, and peel off when they have had enough.

The surface is anti-reflective, which matters when the slate is being shot under a light, and the film is 90 percent translucent so the display underneath stays readable. Application is anti-bubble, hardness is rated 3H, and three protectors ship per pack.
