The TC-1 generates and reads LTC across every common frame rate from 23.98 to 60 fps, held by a TCXO accurate to +/- 0.5 ppm - about one frame of drift in 72 hours. On a shoot with separate sound and two or more cameras, that is the difference between syncing by timecode and syncing by waveform.

Control works two ways. Bluetooth 5 puts up to 48 units under the Sidus Audio app at ranges up to 250 feet, and the 1 in OLED screen with its own control panel jams up to eight units over proprietary 2.4 GHz at short range when a phone is not welcome. A locking 3.5 mm TRS port carries 2.5 V line-level timecode or mic level with a built-in scratch mic, and the internal 950 mAh cell runs up to 28 hours on a USB-C charge. It weighs 41 g.
