Countryman B6 Protective Cap
The B6 is the smallest lavalier Countryman makes and the cap is a meaningful part of its acoustic design, not just a lid. Three responses are stocked: flat where the microphone has a clear path to the mouth, +4 dB when it is hidden in hair or under a button, and +8 dB when it is buried and intelligibility has to be pulled back out.
The cap is also the seal. Fitted, it keeps dirt and moisture out of a capsule small enough to hide in a hairline, which is the reason a B6 rig carries spares in every colour it uses. Fifteen part numbers cover five finishes times three responses.
