Blackmagic Design PYXIS 12K
The Pyxis 12K is a box-style full frame cinema camera built around a 12,288 x 8040 RGBW sensor measuring 36 x 24mm, with a built-in optical low pass filter and 16 stops of dynamic range. It records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW, so a single take can be reframed, stabilized and cropped in post while still finishing at true 8K or 4K. This model carries an L Mount for compatible full frame lenses.
The compact cube body is designed to rig with rods, cages and the separate Pyxis Monitor rather than a fixed screen, which keeps it light for gimbal and drone work. It records to dual CFexpress cards and writes small H.264 proxy files alongside the RAW for fast offline editing. The camera includes DaVinci Resolve Studio for Mac and Windows. Blackmagic part number BMD-CINECAMCPYXM12LFL.
