Black Lion Audio Auteur DT Desktop Preamp

The Auteur DT takes the Auteur preamp circuit out of a rack and into a desktop chassis, a single-channel mic and DI preamp for a home studio or a broadcast desk that does not need a full rack unit. Solid-state gain up to 60 dB runs through a robust USA-made transformer paired with cherry-picked Nichicon and Vishay capacitors, aimed at capturing vocals, drums, guitars, bass, and synths with clarity and presence.

A rear XLR mic input and a front-panel 1/4 inch input cover both a microphone and a direct instrument source, with a single 1/4 inch TRS output and a -10 dB pad on tap. Frequency response runs 10 Hz to 30 kHz. The chassis combines brushed black aluminum with varnished maple side panels, 6 x 6 x 2 inches, and runs on a 24V AC, 500 mA supply.
