Black Lion Audio B12A MKIII Single-Channel Mic / DI Preamp

The B12A MKIII is Black Lion's take on the American discrete preamp voice: one solid-state channel with Cinemag transformers, aimed at engineers who want a preamp that pushes forward rather than staying neutral. It is the box you reach for on a vocal or a snare that needs to sit in front of the mix.

The front panel carries switchable phantom power, a polarity switch, and a -18 dB pad, which is deep enough to take a hot ribbon or a close kick without clipping the input. Connections are one XLR mic input, one 1/4 inch Hi-Z instrument input, and one 1/4 inch TRS output. The half-rack chassis measures 9.5 x 1.75 x 6.5 inches, weighs 3.2 lbs, and runs from the included 24 V AC adapter.
