Modern graphics cards need DDC information even on an analogue output, and without it they fall back to poor video or none at all; the SRX reads the EDID from the attached display and keeps it in the local unit's non-volatile memory. VGA and stereo audio feed through locally, so a keyboard and mouse in the PC's spare USB ports give you a second working position - two users can monitor and diagnose the same machine from either end. Automatic cut-out fuses protect against surges, and the compact chassis mounts side by side in the ACU5000A rack chassis, sixteen single-video units in 2U.
