Audix ADX51 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone
The ADX51 is a pencil condenser built around a 14 mm back-electret capsule, aimed at instruments that need a bright, detailed pickup - drum overheads, cymbals, piano, acoustic guitar, and choir. The cardioid pattern captures the instrument while rejecting off-axis spill, and the tuned response keeps the high end open and articulate.
Two recessed switches add a -10 dB pad and a 150 Hz high-pass filter, so it handles loud sources and tames stage rumble without outboard changes. A precision-machined brass body with a black e-coat finish, steel mesh grille, and gold-plated XLR make it stage-tough, and it runs on a wide 9 to 52 V phantom range. A versatile small condenser, sold singly for flexible pair or spot miking.
