Audio-Technica U853RWU

The U853RWU is the white-finish, UniLine version of Audio-Technica's U853 hanging microphone, fitted with the UniLine line-cardioid element for the tightest reach and rejection in the UniPoint hanging line. Its narrow 90-degree pickup pulls a soloist, a lectern, or a stage area out of a live room while rejecting more off-axis sound than a cardioid, and UniGuard RFI shielding keeps it clean near wireless gear.

The microphone hangs over choirs, orchestras, and theater stages and connects through an AT8538 in-line power module with an XLRM-type output and a UniSteep 80 Hz high-pass filter. It accepts interchangeable UniPoint elements (omnidirectional, cardioid, hypercardioid, or UniLine) to change the pickup angle, requires 11 to 52V DC phantom power, and ships with the AT8538 module, an AT8154(WH) two-stage foam windscreen, an AT8451(WH) steel hanger, and an AT8438 stand adapter.
