Audio-Technica BP892x MicroSet Omnidirectional Headworn Microphone

The BP892x is Audio-Technica's MicroSet earset microphone, built around a subminiature 2.6mm omnidirectional condenser capsule that hooks securely behind either ear and stays comfortable through a full show or broadcast day. A flat, extended 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz response keeps speech natural and intelligible, and the included AT8464x dual-ear adapter kit converts it to a dual-ear-worn design for performers who want extra security during movement.

Its 1.4 m cable detaches at the earpiece and is field-replaceable, so a damaged cable does not take the whole mic out of service. It's sold wired for wireless bodypacks, with a CLM3 termination for Sennheiser transmitters or a CT4 (TA4F) termination for Shure transmitters, in black or beige to match skin tone or hairline. The power-module version includes Audio-Technica's AT8545, which adds a steep low-frequency high-pass filter to clean up proximity effect and handling rumble without touching the vocal range.
