Audio-Technica AT897
The AT897 is an 11-inch line-and-gradient condenser shotgun for film, video, and stage, with a narrow acceptance angle that isolates dialogue and rejects surrounding noise. Its length gives it more reach than a short shotgun while staying manageable on a boom. The condenser element delivers natural, detailed sound suited to production dialogue and voice work.
A low-frequency roll-off switch controls wind and handling rumble in the field. It can run on 11 to 52V phantom power or a single AA battery, so it keeps working when phantom is not available. It ships with an AT8405a stand clamp, an AT8134 windscreen, a battery, a thread adapter, and a protective case, making it a complete field kit out of the box.
