Audio-Technica AT875R Line + Gradient Condenser Microphone, 175mm
The AT875R is Audio-Technica's shortest shotgun at just 6.9 inches, a line-and-gradient condenser designed to mount directly on a camera while still delivering the tight, directional pickup of a shotgun. Its compact length keeps it out of the frame and easy to balance on a small rig or boom.
The directional pattern isolates the subject and rejects off-axis noise for clean dialogue on location. A low-frequency roll-off switch tames wind and handling rumble in the field. It runs on standard phantom power, so it works with camera inputs, field recorders, and mixers that supply it. The result is a broadcast-quality short shotgun that is as at home on a DSLR rig as on a boom pole.
