AMX DCE-1 In-Line Controller
The DCE-1 solves three problems that usually need three separate boxes. It emulates a fixed EDID toward the source, up to 4K60 4:4:4 with HDCP 2.2, so a laptop or player reliably outputs the resolution the display actually wants instead of hunting and picking the wrong one; 15 preprogrammed EDID options are built in, and it can also copy the EDID straight off the connected display.
It de-embeds audio from the HDMI signal to digital SPDIF or analog outputs, and it drives display control automatically, sending CEC or RS232 strings whenever a source connects or disconnects, so a screen wakes and sleeps with the gear plugged into it rather than needing its own automation.
