AJA Io Xpand Thunderbolt 5 PCIe Expansion Chassis
Io Xpand is a Thunderbolt 5 expansion chassis that lets a laptop or small-form-factor system run a full-height, half-length PCIe card. It takes single or double-width cards, including those with daughter cards, in an 8-lane mechanical, 4-lane electrical PCIe 4.0 slot, and delivers up to 6000 MB/s of bi-directional PCIe bandwidth over Thunderbolt 5, 4, 3 or USB4.
AJA lists it as compatible with the KONA 5, KONA 4, KONA 1, Corvid 44 and Corvid 44 BNC, with drivers for Windows 10 and 11, macOS 14 Sonoma and later including Sequoia and Tahoe, and Rocky Linux 8.10/9.5 and Ubuntu 20.04/22.04 LTS and later. An internal 6-pin Mini-Fit connector supplies auxiliary power to cards that need it. The aluminium enclosure protects the card on location and runs under 50 dBA at one metre under load. In the box: a universal 60W power adapter, region-specific power cable, 6-pin auxiliary power cable, a 0.8 metre Thunderbolt 5 cable and a ThunderLok-A connector lock.
