Aida Imaging AIDA CS-2812V HD Varifocal 2.8-12mm Manual Iris CS Mount Lens

The AIDA CS-2812V is a 4x varifocal lens for CS-mount HD cameras, covering 2.8 to 12mm at a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. Field of view runs from about 90 degrees wide down to roughly 26 degrees telephoto (horizontal, on a 1/3-inch sensor), which is a practical range for a fixed camera that needs to see most of a room but can also tighten up on a presenter or a doorway. Focus is manual on the lens barrel; iris is fixed rather than adjustable, which keeps setup simple for an install where lighting does not change much.

Built for AIDA's Full HD CS-mount cameras with 1/3-inch CMOS sensors, it is also compatible with third-party CS-mount bodies using 1/2.7-inch or 1/3-inch sensors. At 46.5 x 68.97mm and just 4 grams, it barely adds weight to a small pan/tilt or fixed-dome housing, and TV distortion is a modest 1.5% at the wide end, so straight lines in a room stay reasonably straight.
