Allen & Heath CQ-20B Digital Mixer
The CQ-20B takes the largest input count in the CQ range and drops the touchscreen entirely. It is a 20-in / 8-out digital mixer built as a rack or stagebox unit meant to be controlled from a tablet, so the box can live near the stage or in a rack while the operator mixes wirelessly from anywhere in the room. Under the hood it runs the same 96kHz FPGA processing as the rest of the CQ family, with 4 multi-FX engines for reverb, delay, and modulation.
Built-in dual-band 2.4G/5G AC Wi-Fi with automatic channel selection and an RJ45 network socket handle control, and a stereo Bluetooth input streams audio for playback. Recording is generous for the format: a 24x24 USB-B interface streams multitrack at 48 or 96kHz, and the SD slot records 24x22 at 48kHz or 16x16 at 96kHz. Dedicated input channels manage stereo USB and Bluetooth playback, and a dual footswitch connection adds hands-free control. An optional rack kit mounts it in a standard 19-inch rack.
