Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SXLEHD-330 HD Video Server

The Cablecast SXLE HD is a compact, single-box HD video server for channel playout. It fits in 1RU and needs no breakout cables: one SDI output feeds an SD/HD-SDI routing switcher, one SDI input comes back from that switcher, and a reference input takes house tri-level sync or analog black burst. It plays MPEG-2, WMV, H.264, AVI, DVCPRO HD and ProRes with no transcoding, so producer files air as submitted.

On the encode side it captures MPEG-2, DV, DVCAM, DVCPRO, DVCPRO HD and ProRes up to 220 Mbps in the full 4:2:2 profile. It carries 4TB of storage, SDI output with embedded audio and balanced XLR connectors for analog audio, and it is managed from Cablecast's web-based interface like the rest of the line. Rear connectors include AC power, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and 3.0, RS-232, VGA, Out 1, In 1 and Ref In.
