Tightrope Carousel CAR-250 Digital Signage Media Player

The Carousel 250 is a compact, quiet media appliance that drives a single screen in a Carousel digital signage network. It plays 1080p H.264 video files and streams alongside images, RSS feeds, web content and Flash, and it mounts on a VESA pattern so it hides behind the display it feeds. Media is cached locally, so a channel keeps playing through a loss of network connectivity.

Inside is a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i3 with 500 GB of storage, feeding DisplayPort, DVI or VGA out to the panel over Gigabit Ethernet. Paired with a Carousel Player License it becomes a managed endpoint on a central server; add a Carousel server license and the same box runs standalone as a hub for up to 15 channels and players. Live TV input and wireless networking are available as the CAR-250-TVI and CAR-250-WIFI options, and the unit auto-recovers after a power loss.
