Telex 4001 Four-Position IFB Control Station
The 4001 is a four-position IFB control station that sits at the producer or director position and rides four independent talent feeds plus one stage announce (SA) send. Each of the four IFB channels carries two audio sends, so an operator can switch a talent between interrupt and non-interrupt program or between two program sources, and illuminated switches show at a glance which feed is live. Programmable priority levels decide which source wins when more than one channel is keyed at once.
A 1/4 in gooseneck microphone connector on the front lets the operator break into any feed to cue talent directly. The 4001 runs as part of a 4000-series IFB system and requires one 4010 central IFB station to supply and distribute audio. It measures 1.72 in high by 8.5 in wide by 3.4 in deep, ships with a wall power supply, and accepts an optional rack kit for permanent installation.
