Shure SLXD14 98H
The SLXD14/98H is an SLX-D wireless rig for wind and percussion players, built around the Beta 98H/C miniature cardioid condenser instrument mic, the SLXD1 bodypack transmitter, and the SLXD4 single-channel receiver. The Beta 98H/C clamps onto the bell of a horn or the rim of a drum; its gooseneck and ratcheting swivel let a player aim the capsule once and lock it, and an isolation shock mount keeps key noise and mechanical clatter out of the signal. The cardioid pattern concentrates on the instrument and rejects the rest of the stage.
SLX-D carries 24-bit digital audio over a 100 meter line-of-sight range with 3.2 ms latency, and up to 32 compatible systems can share a 44 MHz band. The kit includes a windscreen, in-line preamplifier, antennas, rackmount hardware, and AA batteries, and it is offered in the G58 (470-514 MHz), H55 (514-558 MHz), and J52 (558-616 MHz) tuning bands.
