Sennheiser MKH416-TU3 Shotgun Microphone
The MKH 416-TU3 is the T-powered version of Sennheiser's classic short shotgun, the microphone that has covered film sets, ENG crews, and voice booths for decades. Its RF condenser design shrugs off humidity that would choke an ordinary capacitor mic, and the short interference tube gives it a supercardioid pattern at low and mid frequencies that tightens to a lobar pattern up top, so it reaches past crowd and room noise to the source you are aiming at.
This TU3 variant runs on 12 V T-powering (AB) rather than 48 V phantom, and wears a matte black finish that stays invisible on camera and under lights. It ships with the MZW 415 windshield for outdoor and moving-boom work.
