Sennheiser MKE Platinum Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone
The MKE Platinum is a subminiature omnidirectional lavalier built for broadcast and theater, where the microphone has to disappear. The back-electret capsule measures just 4.8 mm across, small enough to hide under clothing, in hairlines, or behind stage props, and its omnidirectional pattern holds a consistent response whether the wearer turns toward or away from the source. A wide, flat frequency response keeps voices detailed and natural.
The low-sensitivity design gives it high SPL headroom and strong resistance to clothing and handling noise, while a sweat-resistant capsule protects it under stage lights and long shifts. It hangs on a very thin 1 mm reinforced cable that is easy to conceal and dress, and it is offered with connector options to match Sennheiser bodypack transmitters.
