Sennheiser MKE2-C Gold LEMO4T Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone
The MKE 2 is Sennheiser's subminiature omnidirectional condenser lavalier, a fixture on broadcast, theater, and film sets for decades. The omnidirectional capsule captures the voice evenly no matter how the wearer turns, so it stays consistent clipped to a lapel or hidden in wardrobe, and it shrugs off the popping and handling noise that catch out directional capsules. A pre-polarized condenser element and a 20 to 20,000 Hz response give it a full, natural voice with detail that survives a busy mix.
This is the reduced-sensitivity Gold version, rated at 5 mV/Pa with a moisture-resistant umbrella diaphragm that resists perspiration and handles levels up to 142 dB SPL for loud stages and close-miked sources. It terminates in a 4-pin LEMO connector wired for Telex bodypack transmitters, comes in black for dark wardrobe, and ships as the bare microphone with no added accessories.
