Sennheiser HSP2-3-5 Headworn Microphone
The HSP 2-3-5 is the pigtail, beige version of Sennheiser's lightweight HSP 2 neckband microphone, built around the permanently polarized MKE Platinum condenser capsule with an omnidirectional pattern. It is made to vanish on camera: a slim boom and neckband that adjust to any head size and stay clear of the collar, with the omni capsule picking the voice up evenly no matter how the wearer turns. At roughly 3 oz the whole assembly all but disappears on a presenter or performer.
Rather than a fixed plug, the connection cable ends in bare pigtail leads with no connector, so an integrator can wire it to almost any bodypack transmitter. The capsule stays flat from 20 to 20,000 Hz and handles up to 150 dB SPL, so it holds together on a loud stage as easily as it flatters a spoken voice. It ships in beige with a foam-lined plastic transport case, interchangeable caps for altering the frequency response, and operating instructions.
