Sachtler Video 18 S2

The Video 18 S2 (1811) is a Sachtler fluid head from the Video range, rated for 2 kg to 22 kg (4.41 lb to 48.5 lb), on a 100 mm bowl. It gives 16 steps + Boost Button and 7 + 0 drag settings on pan and tilt, which is what lets a shouldered camera start and stop a move without the head fighting it. Tilt runs 90° to -70°.

The camera mounts on a touch & Go plate 16 plate with 12 cm (4.72 in) of sliding range to set the centre of gravity. Sachtler supplies one pan bar (telescopic, Pan bar Plus (Right)) on a ⌀ 18/22/32 mm attachment. Levelling is by an illuminated level bubble. The head weighs 4.1 kg (9.04 lb) and is rated from -40°C to 60°C (-40 °F to 140 °F). In the box: Video 18 fluid head.
