Rode RØDE Universal Blimp Mount

The RODE Universal Blimp Mount is an interchangeable adaptor for the Blimp windshield and shock-mount system. It swaps in where the Blimp's handle attaches, converting the mount to a standard 3/8-inch thread so the whole windshield can sit on hardware other than a pistol grip.

With it fitted, the Blimp mounts to a boompole, a boom stand or any device carrying a 3/8-inch thread, which is what you want for static outdoor recording, overhead placement or leaving a shotgun rigged on a stand. The adaptor is lightweight and swaps without tools, so it is a quick change between handheld and mounted use.
