RDL D-PA3 3.5 W Class D Audio Amplifier on a Decora-Style Plate

The RDL D-PA3 puts a complete 3.5 watt amplifier behind a single Decora-style wall plate, ready to drive a nearby 4 or 8 ohm loudspeaker without a separate amp rack. A high-efficiency Class D power stage with tailored audio filtering keeps the sound crisp and clean, making it a tidy solution for paging, background music, and confidence monitoring in offices, retail spaces, and meeting rooms. Two inputs feed it: a rear-panel balanced line input that can also be wired unbalanced, and a front-panel stereo mini-jack that accepts a standard -10 dBV consumer source such as a computer or media player.

Output power is 3.5 watts RMS into 8 ohms or 6.5 watts RMS into 4 ohms. Wiring lands on a rear-panel detachable terminal block, and the module runs from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply, drawing only 30 mA at idle and up to 225 mA at full output. The front panel carries no illuminated indicators, which makes the D-PA3 well suited to darkened rooms and theaters. It ships as a white Decora insert, with black, gray, and stainless-steel versions available.
