Park P18LR Little Rock

The P18LR Little Rock takes the late plexi Park circuits - the P50M and the original Park Master Volume - down to studio power, then adds a switch the originals never had: the two channels can be cascaded in series, one into the other, for real gain. With both switches off it behaves like a traditional four input, two channel P50 from 1968 at a fraction of the volume. With them on it is a hot-rodded 50 watt plexi. A Punch switch boosts the upper mids for a more aggressive voicing, and the range runs from sparkling cleans through blues breakup to full overdrive and classic rock.

Colby's auto bias feature makes the output valves a choice rather than a service visit: 6V6, 6L6 or the standard EL34 for the British voicing, swapped for a change in tone, feel and power with no rebiasing. The rectifier switches between valve and diodes. Full-size Park transformers and a choke, the same iron as the P50M and the Park Master Volume, are what let an amp at this wattage keep the low end and the authority of a big one instead of collapsing into a practice amp.
