MOTU MIDI Express 128 8x9 USB MIDI Interface

The MIDI Express 128 is an 8-in, 9-out USB MIDI interface for Mac and Windows, built from the same technology as MOTU's flagship MIDI Timepiece. Eight independent MIDI inputs and outputs give 128 MIDI channels, enough to address a full rack of sound modules from one USB port.

It takes full advantage of USB for high-speed throughput, sub-millisecond timing accuracy, hot-swapping and plug-and-play expansion, and it is powered by the USB connection, so there is no wall wart competing for outlets behind the rack. Adding more ports is a matter of plugging in another MOTU USB MIDI interface.
