Kramer VP-558 11x4:2 Presentation Boardroom Router / Scaler System

The VP-558 is a high-performance 11x4 ProScale presentation scaler and matrix switcher built for boardrooms that run more than one display off more than one source. It takes six HDMI inputs, four HDBaseT inputs, one VGA input and a 4x1 USB switcher, and outputs four independently scaled images - each output pairs an HDMI and an HDBaseT connector, so a room can feed a local display and a remote one over Cat 6 from the same scaled signal. Kramer's Pix-Perfect pixel-mapping scaling handles the up- and down-conversion; output resolutions run up to 1080p/WUXGA, and the HDBaseT runs reach 70m (230ft) on Kramer's BC-HDKat6a cable.

Audio gets its own signal path: the unit accepts a microphone input alongside analog and embedded audio on every input, and a built-in DSP handles level adjustment and switchable microphone talkover or mix modes. A 2x10W amplifier drives speakers directly from a 4-pin terminal block, so a boardroom doesn't need a separate power amp for basic paging or program audio. Setup runs through front-panel buttons with an on-screen display, or remotely through RS-232, Ethernet and built-in web pages; firmware updates over the network.
