Kramer CLS-AOCU/CH Active Optical 4K USB-C to HDMI Cable, Low Smoke Halogen Free
The CLS-AOCU/CH runs a laptop's USB-C port straight to an HDMI display at up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 and 18Gbps, across distances that copper cannot hold. The core is hybrid: four polymer-insulated glass fibers carry the video, with 30 to 20 AWG tinned copper alongside, which is why the finished cable is only 4.7mm thick and bends to a 20mm radius rather than fighting a conduit.
Because the signal is optical for most of its length, there is no attenuation to compensate for and much less exposure to EMI and RFI in a rack or trunking full of power. EDID and HDCP 2.2/1.4 pass transparently, HDR is supported, and audio covers DTS-HD 7.1 and Dolby TrueHD. The jacket is low smoke and halogen free for plenum and occupied-space runs, and the whole cable draws under 1.5W from the source. Connectors are 24K gold-plated at both ends.
