Kramer CA-USB3/AAE USB 3.0 Active Extender Cable

A passive USB cable gives up at about 2 metres. The CA-USB3/AAE puts active electronics inside the cable itself so a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed link at 5Gbps holds up to 15m (50ft), which is the difference between a camera at the front of a room working and not working. It draws its power from the USB source, so there is no wall wart to hide and nothing to fail separately.

The number of integrated hub tiers scales with length: one tier at 10 to 15ft, two at 25 to 35ft, three at 50ft. Construction is 2 pair 24AWG plus 1 pair 26AWG plus 2 wires 22AWG and drain wires, with foil and braid shielding on the runs that need it, in a 7mm black PVC jacket, CM-c(ETL) rated. It is plug-and-play with no drivers. Note that this is a data cable only, not a charging cable.
